richie sambora35 Heather Locklear Says No Thanks to Celebrity RehabHeather Locklear is the latest mom to turn down Dr. Drew’s offer to help their addictions on Celebrity Rehab. Which, of course, is good news for daughter Ava, 12. Who wants to see their mother publicly and on camera tackle their addiction issues?  But apparently Locklear won’t be overcoming any addiction issues in private, either, which isn’t good news for Ava if Locklear in fact has substance abuse issues.

Her past would indicate there certainly could be a problem:

In 2008, Locklear allegedly tried to commit suicide. She later entered a rehab facility where she was treated for anxiety and depression. Two months after checking out of the treatment facility, Heather she was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.Later reports claimed she was high on prescription drugs at the time of her arrest. In April this year, Locklear was again arrested — after being involved in a hit and run.

Ava’s father and Heather’s ex, Richie Sambora, was stopped and arrested for driving under the influence several years ago — with Ava in the car.

Other moms who have turned down an offer from Dr. Drew include Brooke Mueller and Jenna Jameson.
