Matt Lauer Denies Split, Infidelity
Matt Lauer is speaking out about reports he and wife Annette have broken up , that he has cheated on his wife of 12 years and that he moved out of their home. ”I am living in my apartment with Annette and my children as a family and a couple. I have never moved out. I am not moving out. There is no truth to that.” He goes on to say that while they have had tough spots in their marriage, the rumors of infidelity are similarly unfounded deeming them “offensive” and “ridiculous.”
“Have we had a completely perfect, easy marriage? No. But the stories you’ve read over the years are not true,” Lauer said.
“I don’t think we’re any different than any married couple that’s been together for 12 years,” he adds. “The accusations [of infidelity] are ridiculous and I’m not going to [dignify] them with an answer. It’s not true.”
Of the National Enquirer, which first reported the story, Lauer says: “This is all made up. All they had to do was check.”
