Michael Lohan “Disgusted” Lindsay to Play Linda Lovelace
Lindsay Lohan won’t be getting daddy’s approval for her upcoming role in the indie biopic about infamous adult film star Linda Lovelace. When asked, after initially saying he “doesn’t want to go there” Michael Lohan goes on a tirade like only a press-hungry, exploitative celebrity parent can. I’ll give Dad Lohan this — he can bring the crazy.
“What do you think? Come on! Seriously – why? She did Parent Trap, Confessions [of a Teenage Drama Queen], Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, Just My Luck andHerbie. And you know what? Georgia Rule was a fantastic movie. People don’t give her credit for it, but that was one of her best acting jobs. But I mean, she started with Parent Trap and now this? Why? Who makes these decisions? If I was there, it would never happen, believe me. There’s no way to resurrect your career after that. So many people have come to me with offers for Lindsay for great family-style films, general audience kind of releases, but you know … whatever.”
Whatever indeed. So many people have come to him with roles for Lindsay? Right, since they’re not speaking and all, that makes perfect sense. Note to Michael: She’s playing an adult film star, not turning into one. Relax.

Actually, Linda Lovelace was a sympathetic character, I think, so it could work out okay. I hope they don’t make it in grainy film with poor color, though (except maybe for films-within-the film).

He’s not her manager, she doesn’t talk to him, and if he really wanted to help her at all, career or otherwise, he’d do it privately instead of publicly. Just give it a little time and we’ll see more drama as he attempts to “manage” (CONTROL) Kate Major’s career path!
I hope the script for this film is solid and Lindsay performs like the professional actress she can be.
Dobbie commented on May 16 10 at 7:08 amThe man certainly has a point. Which he entitled to. Afterall, he is her father. What father would want his daughter to play a porn star? Just the thought of it disgusts me. This guy is damned if he says something positive or negative.
