This weekend the Gosselin sextuplets will be celebrating their sixth birthday. Kate stocked up on wrapping paper and apparently Jon invested in some high-octane water guns. But what should the Gosselin kids really be getting for their birthday? Here are five of our picks.

Non-matching Clothes
Have you ever noticed that the sextuplets are always wearing matching outfits? I’m not sure if it’s a convenience in shopping, an easier way to get them dressed in the morning, or if the family just really embraces the whole “look we’re multiples!” thing. Regardless of the reasons, it’s about time they got their own identity and wore what they want.

Helmets
I don’t know why this makes me so nervous. When I see the kids riding on their bikes and their mini ATV without helmets on, the mother in me wants to fly to Pennsylvania and strap some on their noggins.

Their own dog
The family has/had two German shepherds, Shoka and Nala. The dogs have been used as a commodity in the parental power struggle with Jon taking the dogs away from the home during the breakup.  Perhaps a cute little puppy, of their own, could be just the thing to anchor this family.

Therapy
Now this is one they probably already have, but they could probably use some more! These kids have a lot of baggage for being just six years old. Some one-on-one sessions to deal with these issues would be a priceless gift.  Hard to wrap but priceless nonetheless.

A month with mom or dad
When was the last time Kate or Jon was home with them for a long time span? With Kate’s publicity tours, book signings and TV appearances, she is often gone from home. And Jon always seems to be gallivanting off someone like New York City, Los Angeles or the ski slopes of Utah. What these kids need is some consistency and some undivided time with one or both of their parents.

Trade the dog for privacy and your list is PERFECT!!

NOT FUNNY!

Co-signing what Karensisco said….they don’t really need a dog with all the chaos in their lives, but they DO NEED PRIVACY. They deserve to not have their private lives sold for public consumption by their parents and an unscrupulous TV network.

It’s not supposed to be funny.

Couldn’t agree more!

The matching outfits gets them noticed more. It pays the bills.

As far as the helmets, the parents need to be able to think about the kids welfare, not just how much money they can bring in. Jon & Kate haven’t gotten to that point yet.

Therapy? They should go to group therapy and use a coupon.

Once you give away a pet because it that episode is over and it’s time to move on, you shouldn’t be allowed to have another pet.

A month with mom and dad? Seriously? They have the nannies. What more do they need. Sheesh

The helmets would obscure their faces for the
paparazzi pictures! The whole reason to call the paps in is to get good pictures.

And please do not sacrifice a puppy to this madhouse of angry people!

How about some time with their grandparents who haven’t seen them for about 4 yrs.!

It’s clear that Kate hates animals (she doesn’t even like kids much, apparently). DO NOT wish her lunacy and and horrible parenting on a poor puppy!

I wouldn’t add a puppy to that household but I agree with Karen and add privacy to the list.

and add trust funds with the money they have earned that Jon and Kate can’t touch.

Those poor children ( I am serious)need a normal life with 2 parents that consider the needs of their children first before their own “wants”.
