Sandra Bullock – The Anti-Angelina of Adoption?
One thing Sandra Bullock and Angelina Jolie have in common? They opted to go the adoption route for their first child. Another thing they have in common? Soon after they were both faced with raising their baby on their own after breaking up with their husbands. What they don’t share? A view on where to adopt from. Sandra told People that…
“I don’t know if it was important to adopt from New Orleans, but it was important to adopt from the U.S.,” she said. “New Orleans for both of us [she and Jesse James] was a place that we loved, a place that had a lot of history for the both of us and a place I couldn’t let go of.”
Angelina has adopted three children from three different countries. Maddox from Cambodia, Zahara from Ethiopia and Pax from Vietnam. Angelina has spent much time doing work with humanitarian organizations and worked as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. In her travels she has witnessed the trials and tribulations that young orphans in third world countries must face.
But Sandra, she wasn’t thinking globally, she was thinking locally. After Hurricane Katrina she did her own humanitarian outreach to help the devastated city. She apparently knew that there were enough kids here in the states that needed help that she didn’t go the quick international route. She waited for four years for our little New Orleans born babe. For Zahara, Angelina only had to wait three days! I wonder in Bradgelina ever thought of adopting from N’awlins? They have a home there and Brad has been very active in the rebuilding efforts.
One thing is, no matter where the kids come from, it’s great that these stars are giving them homes.

joke commented on May 04 10 at 5:20 pmIt is very stupid to state that AJ only had to wait 3 days to adopt without valid information. AJ went through the proper Agency and procedures to adopt. It does not matter what country a child in need is from. To save a life and give it a good home is more important. This site is a joke.

She had the biggest kindest heart in Hollywood. She not like most celebs. She tries her best to stay out of the meida. which is hard sometimes i know. She not Aniston, angie, or anything other celeb. I love Jennifer Aniston, she needs to get rid of her PR’s or something. I’m tired of hearing about her. I have nothing against her. I don’t like Sandra Bullock has to be in the media right now. I’m kind of glad it her not ansiston. Every single celeb needs to bow down to Sandra Bullock, except Steep, white, and Reese Witherspoon… I love Sandra Bullock!

How do you not know this or do you sweep something like that under a rug? Do not compare Angelina with anyone least of all Sandra Bullock who seems like a pleasant person but that’s about it. Sandra Bullock is a middle of the road type of gal as are most hollywood types. Sandra spent years doing the same role but unlike Aniston brings something genuine to her romcoms. This stupid hatred of Angelina is manufactured by the media and the sheep who are not too bright follow it.

I think they will be most grateful for having the heart to take them out of the parentless, poverty-infested home they were living in.
