Jon Gosselin Moves Into New Apartment
While Kate Gosselin was spotted filming scenes for her new TV show around Reading, Pennsylvania, Jon Gosselin was up to something slightly less glam: moving.
The father of eight, who is on the fast track to becoming better known as ‘Kate’s ex-husband’ is moving into an apartment in downtown Reading. He’ll be near the kids–assuming Kate and the kids are staying put and not relocating to Los Angeles. But I’m not sure anything is more emblematic of the opposite directions their lives are going these days then the contrast in these images–Jon smoking a cigarette surrounded by a bunch of bags, while Kate traipses around with a film crew.
To the extent that I have chosen an allegiance in this sordid tale, I have found myself leaning toward the Team Kate camp. Nonetheless, it’s good to see Jon do something other than ride around his front lawn in an ATV and get his lawyer to issue press releases about his ex-wife. I’m all about the forward motion, and I truly think Jon could use some right about now. A move is always a good first step. A job would be even better, but hey, let’s not put the cart before the horse, or in this case, the horse’s…well…let’s just leave it there.
More of Jon making progress and moving into his shiny new digs on the next page.

Deborah commented on Apr 29 10 at 9:58 amJon made his bed and now he is going to lay in it. His down fall started with the note nailed to the entrance of their home banning film crews from the property and shutting down their show and throwing his paycheck out the window. Not too mention all the really weird and dumb stuff he did after that. It’s hard to feel sorry for him.
Razzy commented on Apr 29 10 at 1:18 pmI think both of these people should have no reality show. Isn’t their 15 min of fame up yet? If it wasn’t for these adorable 8 children, these 2 people, Kate and Jon, are sooo boring. Kate is pimping out her kids to me herself rich and famous. I hope her book tanks and also her shows.
Local commented on Apr 29 10 at 2:01 pmThat’s not downtown Reading, those apartments are in Wyomissing, by the Viva restaurant.
Cathy E. commented on Apr 29 10 at 4:07 pmWhile Jon is now un-employable he should go back to college and get his degree in IT. After two years, the media craze may have died down, he may grow up and be able to get a GOOD job with a large corporation with good benefits for the kids…..that is if Kate will give him space on the child support while he’s in school….

M commented on Apr 30 10 at 8:30 pmLet’s face neither idiot, Jon or Kate would win the parent of the year award. Both are nothing but pimps. Their kids are paying their bills, not the other way around as it should be. Kids should not be born with a “job”.
Tired commented on May 30 10 at 3:21 pmFirst of all they both made some very bad choices in life. Neither of them would win parent of the year for sure. They are not perfect people. Yet, I think the fact that Jon did give up a job, so he could stay at home with the kids while Kate did her regular TV appearances, so I think he made plenty of sacrifices. Now she could had gone out and gotten a job herself, its a new world and it’s not fair to put the responsibility on the dad. It is apparent they both love their children, just hope they can figure out what is really best for their children. Maybe if Kate stopped shopping at high priced stores, Jon wouldn’t have to pay for so much child support, sounds like he is supporting her bad habits.
