Kate Gosselin Wears a Sports Bra in Public? Really?
There’s something my grandmother always said that kind of stuck with me: Nobody likes a show-off. Yes, I know you gave birth to eight children. And that you competed on Dancing with the Stars. Plus you probably have that “eat-your-heart-out” post-divorce mentality going.
Sure, you look good. But, a sports bra? In public? I think the only person who can get away with baring their midriff after children and post-30 is Madonna. And, let’s face it, she’s way cooler than you.
So while I appreciate your abs looks pretty darn good (let’s not forget you did get a well-deserved tummy tuck), I suggest you keep the abdomen covered from now on. You might not know this, but the paparazzi follow your every move. So if you wear it, we’ll see it.
You’re welcome.

tin commented on Apr 29 10 at 11:51 amwhy does she need to cover up because she’s post-30 and has had kids? you said it yourself, she looks pretty darn good. what on earth is your point?
MIKE commented on Apr 29 10 at 12:10 pmshe looks prety hot to me.like what i see. wouldn’t kick her out of bed for eating crackers
Anon commented on Apr 29 10 at 12:11 pmWow, you are rude!
Brian commented on Apr 29 10 at 12:12 pmI personally think the bare midriff look is way overdue to make a comeback. So in defence of Kate, I say rock that belly button!
MIKE commented on Apr 29 10 at 12:14 pmwouldn’t mind if she was nude hell of a body for a woman that had 8 kids. if you got it flaunt it
Lulu and Moxleys Mom commented on Apr 29 10 at 12:19 pmI am clearly in the minority here. I guess I’m old-fashioned and don’t think a sports bra is appropriate to wear in public. But as I said, she looks great!
mtl commented on Apr 29 10 at 12:30 pmI doubt you are in the minority but people who agree just aren’t commenting. This is a ridiculous outfit for a grown woman to wear out.
Jessica commented on Apr 29 10 at 12:44 pmHello- why would this be any different for her- just because she’s a mother? That is so ridiculous. I didn’t realize women weren’t supposed to feel sexy or self confident just because they’ve *gasp* had children! How dare she!
mom of 2 commented on Apr 29 10 at 12:55 pmWould a guy walk down that same street without a shirt on? If the answer is only if he was some kind of creepy jerk, I’d say use that as a guideline.
rjb commented on Apr 29 10 at 1:02 pmI think the person who wrote this is very rude. So what kate know the p people as her kids call then following her is not news to her. Kate if you feel comfortable great wear it….you are a beautiful person inside and out.
TwinHappyJen commented on Apr 29 10 at 1:03 pmMy Mother had a saying, that she repeated often in my childhood, and it’s something that has really stuck with me: “Don’t worry about what anybody else is doing. Just worry about what you’re doing.” It was usually in response to me or one of my siblings being a tattletale on our fellow siblings :-p But, it still applies in adulthood… maybe even more so. How is it ANYBODY’s business what she wears? How she looks? I don’t tolerate my preschoolers making fun of somebody’s appearance. This article reflects on the writer’s character, much more than it does on Kate Gosselin’s.
mom of 2 commented on Apr 29 10 at 2:23 pmOkay so I don’t mean to harp on this and I’ve already stated my opinion, but I do take issue with the question, “Is it anybody’s business what a person wears?” Well, in your own home, in your backyard, no. It’s nobody’s business. But on a public street while it’s nobody’s “business” per se, it is a shared public space and I for one prefer to see as little of anyone’s middles (well toned or otherwise) as possible. To me, this is just general politeness while in public. If my children wanted to walk around our downtown area wearing a bathing suit (or pajamas or a t-shirt with a hole in it) I would tell them to go put on some appropriate clothing. Why? Becuase when we’re in public, we present an appropriate and inoffesive public image. It’s just good manners. It’s how we respect the people around us. Now, I know she’s coming from the gym and probably just walking 20 yards to her car, which is the only reason I think this is all a little silly, but nevertheless, when she realized she was going to be photographed and she was being thrown back into some kind of public situation, don’t you think she could have zipped it up? She chose this public life. I think she has an obligation to represent herself properly as a mother and as a person. I mean, is it really so hard?
tin commented on Apr 29 10 at 2:40 pmi think the issues is that it would apparently be okay if she were under 30 and had no kids. if it’s inappropriate, it’s inappropriate for everyone.
reala commented on Apr 30 10 at 3:41 amLooks fine. Looks so much better than those hideous outfits she had to wear on DWTS. Those made her look heavy.
She’s cute and works out. Showing not much more than a modest bathing suit these days.
Go! Kate!
seabiscuit commented on Apr 30 10 at 9:01 amStating that Madonna is “way cooler than you” is just bitchy. And sounds like a snarky dig between seventh graders. You’re welcome? For what? For your judgmental, unsolicited advice? Please. Get over yourself. And mom of 2, this is not comparable to a man sans shirt. You people are ridiculous.
Indiana mom commented on May 02 10 at 1:48 pmPlease, Kate loves the drama, good or bad any way she can get it. And she pretents to not like the “paparazzi”, that’s a crock, she loves it. She wants to be famous at any cost. And that is pretty much what is happening. She may be getting her wish, but at whose cost?
I, like most are so tired of her getting on TV, whinning about how bad she is treated and how this is for her kids. Just stop the lies. Actually, her kids have given her this oppertunity for the lime light. Not the other way around. No one was watching J&K+8 because Jon or Kate was cute or interesting. People watched because of the kids. Kids are cute and funny. It could have been anybodys kids, not just theirs and people would watch.
And oh, I think she has had more than just a tummy tuck, her whole face has changed, and it’s way more than just the 7 grand in hair extensions. Her whole look has changed. IMO.
brittney commented on May 09 10 at 11:03 amwell you never know what she was doing before or after that she could have just finished working out or was about to go to the gym so sometimes people just need to mind theirs
