This is such an outlandish claim! I process disability claims for a variety of medical impairments, and those babies DO NOT have Down Syndrome! Look at their facial expressions! If I were Brad and Angie, I would sue Nat’l Enquirer for running such a trashy article! Children and their health are not fair game for trashy tabloids.

The twins definitely have brads chubby cheeks when he was a baby as his baby photos have shown. Not going to say anything about DS!!!!

no, they do not have DS. There is very little logic in even suggesting that they both COULD have DS. They are not identical same sex twins, they are fraternal twins. Their DNA and chromsomes are no more alike than Shilohs. Viv has unusually shaped eyes, but not DS shaped eyes. That they have been pictured walking for months now is another indication, many children with Ds have low tone and it is rare that they walk before 22-23 months, and that is early. I sincerely doubt that either of them has DS. The first picture of Vivienne is the only one even suggestive of DS, the others pretty clearly show she doesnt have it.
By the way, Down syndrome is not a disease. You cannot catch it, you are formed with it from the beginning.

Hi Everyone. Thanks for the comments. In no way do I believe the kids have DS and as I noted, Nat Enq has no facts just comments from people on the Internet. I’m not promoting that they have DS, but curious to see if anyone who reads this site feels the same way as some other commeters out there do. For the record-I think the twins are the cutest things ever.

I am a mother of a son with Down Syndrome, and these 2 kids DO NOT have DS. I would have noticed that right when they were born myself.

Honestly I don’t think they have downs. One of my daughters looked like these kids at this age. I work with infants – many of whom have downs – and I don’t believe these children have downs – I do think mom looks like she needs to gain about 20 pounds but the kids look healthy!

I have never been a “Brangelina” fan. But what the f@#k difference does it make to the millions of us that don’t have any personal connection to them or their kids. Whether we approve of this couple or not, isn’t really the issue. We have all seen parents with children who have DS in the supermarket, or somewhere in public. Would any of us contact the media to speculate whether or not these children of complete strangers have DS or not? Unless we are all willing to volunteer our time to some organization that does research to prevent DS, it should be of no more interest to us than the mother in the supermarket shopping with her child who was born with DS. Albeit they are born to a high profile scandalous couple, they are innocent children. Please leave them alone. No, I have had four and these kids are perfectly normal looking to me, and beautiful too!

First I need to say that to the person who said they look like they have DS but it is being resolved… You can not do anything to “fix” DS. It is genetic, my daughter has DS and she is beautiful!!!
There kids are beautiful. Those twins look just like Shiloh, and Angelina has slightly slanted eyes. I don’t think it matters if they do or not, but I think it is absolutely ridiculous for the N.E to start rumors about innocent children.

Yes, it does appear that the children resemble those with downs syndrome. I agree that Angie does not know how to take proper care of herself for pregnancy situations. I’ve noticed the down look for some time now.

Think the expressions on their face show being disturbed by photographers. They do not have Downs Syndrome. My sister had it, and familiar with it from working in the health field. They are beautiful fraternal twins. Leave them alone.

I think everyone should write to the Enquirer and tell them what scumbags they are. I’m going to tell them to leave this family alone! They make up one thing after the other!
But this is lower than low! They sit around and make up story after story. They have people breaking up, getting back together, and breaking up dozens of times, when nothing is happening! They fabricate just about all of it.
I read these stories in the grocery store line, but will refuse to buy it until they clean up their act with real stories.

One thing I can tell you though, it is freaking me out how Angelina is dressing up Shiloh, like if she was a boy, if she continuous like that I wouldn’t be surprised is she grows up to become a lesbian.

These photographs are living proof that those twins don’t have Down syndrome, so the National Inquirer better prepare for the humongous lawsuit, which I’m sure will be donated to charity. The little girl is the spitting image of Angie, and the boy looks a bit like a Brad, but leans more towards Angie’s looks. They are very good-looking, just like Shiloh.

OMG…did some uneducation person actually write “Angie was up there in age when she had the twins”? I work in the medical field so I know this to be true…Doctors agree that unless you have some under-lying medical issue, a high risk pregancy age begins at 35! Although, many women over the age age of 40 have healthy uneventful pregancies and deliver healthy children. When the twins were born Angie was no where near 35.

Well, if they hadn’t spawned such bulbous headed little mouth-breathers, none of us would have this deliciously fun topic to speculate about, would we? Shiloh had that same flat affect and constantly open mouth, too. The kids do look iffy, but they will grow out of it. When Summer arrives and they stop wrapping their heads in hats, and as they mature, it will become clear that they were just funny looking little kids.
And another thing… anyone who feels sorry for this family needs to step back and do some thinking. Jolie’s brother makes his living selling “insder” information to the press, and the public laps it up. There are no accidents here. When lives are made public, that publicity will gain a momentum of its own and one can only hope that it is worth the price they pay for it. Michael Jackson did similar things with his image. Let us all remember that there are many ways to help countries and children and social causes of all kinds — and most of those ways are pretty DISCREET. Angie has never been interested in discretion or privacy. Adopting children from around the world, and birthing a litter of kids in the span of a few years is NOT normal, it is not an attempt to BE normal, and it isnt a cry for privacy or respect. Angie is getting just what she wants — never doubt it.

Just by looking at their pictures, it is hard to tell for sure if they have ds. They do have rheummy (sp) looking eyes, but that may be allegies.

What difference does it make if these beautiful children have down syndrome? Children with down syndrome are beautiful, loving and accepting people who could teach most of the mean people on this a thing or two about love and acceptance. If the children do have a disability, Brad and Angelina will do right by the children and love them and those kids will do well!!!

I think they would wait for an easier target to sue outside the US, just as they did with the UK paper NOTW. Great way to make money$$$$, don’t deny anything, then wait for an easy target to report the same stories and proceed to sue the easier target. Don’t they have enough money already????

No the twins do not have DS. I know just by looking at the pictures. My son was born with Down Syndrome seven years ago and from that day forward he has been the joy in my heart. I read many of these ridiculous comments posted here and realize he has much more common sense and intelligence than the majority of you. I wish everyone in the world had a touch of his down syndrome. He is peaceful, full of love, non-judgemental and non-competitive. He teaches everyone he crosses paths with, a little about what is truly important in life. Brad and Angelina, or anyone for that matter would be truly blessed to have a little guy like mine!

I can’t believe how many people look at a child born with Down Syndrome as a negative. You can have a “healthy” child one day and then they could get sick or get in an accident and change the way they were born. Nothing is a sure thing in life…you just have to love your children and try to enjoy them while you have them. There were a couple of people that stated that the reason the kids aren’t “healthy” is because they were cheaters and because of KARMA. I’m sorry but how stupid are you, a child isn’t born “not healthy” because Angelina and Brad had an affair. If you take a look at the two of them I don’t think they are unhappy about the kids that they have or their lives. I think Jennifer has moved on with here life as well….so I don’t think you need to keep saying or wishing negative things about her. I truly feel that Brad and Jennifer would have gone separate ways with or without Angelina coming into the picture. These babies look just like BRAD! They have some chubby cheeks, but what babies dont?!?!? They are gorgeous and will only continue to become more beautiful as they get older. If they have DS I sure don’t see it…and even if they did WHO CARES? THEY ARE STILL HUMAN BEINGS! And I doubt their parents would love them any less because of that. Down syndrome isn’t a disease as suggested in your article. To the reference that they don’t have down syndrome because they are “perfect,” children with Down syndrome are perfect. To the first commenter, children with Down syndrome are beautiful too.

Actually, to those people who are saying that there is no “mild” form of Down Syndrome, there is. It is called mosaicism, or mosaic Down Syndrome, and occurs when a baby has some cells with 46 chromosomes, and some cells with 47, the extra #21 which characterizes Down Syndrome. These individuals’ IQs are, on average, 10-30 points higher than those with Down Syndrome, because it’s thought that the “typical” cells mitigate the effects of those with the chromosomal abnormality. That being said, I work with kids with special needs, and the biggist mitigating factor in functioning of kids with Down Syndrome, or any other special need, is early intervention.

In terms of these kids, as some other posters pointed out, if they are walking by this age, it’s very unlikely that either of them have Down Syndrome. Kids with this syndrome are VERY late walkers, even with therapy, because of low muscle tone. If Vivienne and Knox have any special needs at all, it is certainly not Down Syndrome.

First of all what stupidity to subject children to media taunts! give your heads a shake people! You should be ashambed of yourself and get a frickin real job that actually does some real good in this world instead of publishing trashy bs.

Second, those kids don’t look at all like downs babies. If your going to print an article making the claim perhaps do some research on the subject first! And this is coming from someone who dislikes Angie to the core.

Third to the bone-heads making all the comments – there is nothing wrong with people with disablitities there is something wrong with societies acceptance and tolerance! Get over yourselves, they are humans and like someone else mentioned have – I have worked with Downs individuals previosuly and they are the most loving, caring people in the world -perhaps they could teach you a thing or two about compassion.

Finally, as for Angies health the way she took care of herself during her pregancy has nothing to do with Downs, go research what causes downs! as for the age comment age; women of any age can have a baby with downs, but the risk IS higher after 35 and certainly after 40. I know because being a women who is 38 and wanting to get pregnant, my doctor has warned em of this. And yes while a test during pregnancy can verfy this the risk of having that test (amniocentisis) far outweighs the results. If you were to find out that information what would you do with it? All babies born with or with out disabilites are a gift from God and!

Yes I’ve always thought so because they do have the same look as DS Amazingly the combination Brad + Angelina is not good for making beautiful babies, they are definitely not cute at all.

I think it might be true of the little girl but not the boy. I’ve been reading all the comments people have been sending in, and it upsets me that so many think that DS is something to be ashamed of. I think Sarah Palin’s little boy is adorable!

I have the most beautiful daughter with downs. I wouldn’t trade her for anything, she IS Amazing!!! IF… their children have downs it doesn’t matter. They may feel as blessed as I do. AND it is none of anyones business. Shame on the tabloids to print such negativity, BUT what else is new for the tabloids! Remember the old saying “never judge a book by the cover”, you have no idea how wonderful and smart downs children can be. Get a life and be more positive about others. First of all, I am the grandmother of a down’s child. Let’s straighten out a few facts. While it is true that most down’s children have rounded faces – not all do. While it is true that most down’s children are short of stature and chubby – not all are. While it is true that most down’s children have bigger lips – ummm – have you really seen their mom! LOL. Also none of their children have flat noses (extremely common in down’s children). And, none of their children have extremely low set ears – also almost always seen in Down’s children.

Using the criteria that has been published in some of the magazines it would seem that all young children with rounded, chubby cheeks and bigger lips have down’s. OMG I know that these so called magazines have to sensationalize everything in order to sell the crap but to pick on innocent babies is just crap, crap, crap! And also there are several types of down’s – trisomony 21 and mosaic. Neither one is a death sentence or something to be pitied!

I’m not an expert, so I don’t know about the Down Syndrom. All I can see are two kids who aren’t as pretty as I thought they’d look, being kids from the Golden Couple. Call me stupid, but that’s just my honest opinion. As with other babies, when I look at them I look automatically if they are cute or not. I was suprised that the girl of the twins looks a bit strange. The firstborn of the Dutch Prince Willem Alexander and his wife Maxima has had the same features as a baby; round face, strange small eyes and people were also wondering if the baby had DS or not. You can look it up on google. It appears she hasn’t, it’s just a not so pretty baby, helas…and I think that’s what’s going on here. They’re a bit funny looking, at least the girl is, because of a sort of dumb expression on her face (the big lips look weird, but they will be adored later lol). Yep, the girl looks uglier than I thought.

They look like they have DS….since the first pix they don’t look normal. Karma comes back in many ways…..I think Brad is PW’d and Angie wears the pants in the family….Brad is weak and both their movie careers are starting to go downhill.
