Lindsay Lohan’s Mom “In Denial” About Daughter

lindsay lohan parent trap3 283x300 Lindsay Lohans Mom In Denial About DaughterThe Lindsay Lohan drama never ends, with the latest that her friends have tried to reach out to mom Dina Lohan but to no avail — Dina is “in denial.” Probably unlike most people, when I think of Lindsay Lohan, I think of her adorable portrayal of red-headed identical twins in 1998′s Parent Trap with Dennis Quaid and the late Natasha Richardson. What’s happened since just makes me sad that the true talent she has is being wasted. And that she seems to have gotten stuck with clueless, self-centered, ego-driven parents.

Granted, a child’s problems can’t always be blamed on the parents — and at some point kids need to get over their parents’ failings. But in this case, I would wager that a lot of her current situation has to do with poor parenting.

And so I was somewhat sickened by this interview with mom Dina recently (not to mention the reality show Living Lohan), that Michael Lohan is also a fame-monger who exploits his daughter by discussing private issues with the tabloids and now Dina ignoring warnings from friends about Lindsay’s condition. How does such a talented child go from bright future to an easy target for late-night comedians? Ask her parents.
