Bump Un-Watch: Mariah Carey Is Not Pregnant!
Mariah Carey has always been a curvy woman and she recently packed on the ol’ lbs since she married singer Nick Cannon.When recent photos surfaced of her new plumper figure, there was speculation all over the world wide web that she is pregnant.
Sorry everyone, not true! Oh Internet, why must you get our hopes up so high?
But that doesn’t mean there will never be a mini Mimi.
Both Mariah and Nick want to be sure it’s the right time. On a recent appearance on Larry King, she said of having children: “It would be the happiest thing in my life. But what I’m saying is right now with this movie coming out, with the next few singles from the album and those things that I’m doing, I need to focus on that, because I cannot do the having-a-child thing halfway.”
So un-diva like!
Nick also weighed in telling MTV News back in January: “We absolutely plan to have a family. But we gotta prioritize, because that’s a major, major priority. That’s like the only priority in life, when you think about it: starting and raising a family… We wanna make sure everything is out of the way and that we don’t have any distractions.”
I have a feeling that when they’re finally ready Mariah will let us know. I’m thinking a bedazzled tee shirt that says “Baby on Board” in glitter with butterflies all over it, but maybe that’s just wishful thinking.
