Mad Men’s Jon Hamm Ready for Fatherhood?
Admittedly, I am so starved for Mad Men news that I actually get excited when the Mad Men sketch comes on Sesame Street. So of course I was interested when I heard the rumor that Jon Hamm was getting ready to marry his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Westfeldt.
Westfeldt herself put that rumor to rest–but may have opened the door to another one.
“We just had our 12-year anniversary last week, and we have a house and a dog,” Westfeldt told In Touch. “At some point we may, but it doesn’t matter to us one way or the other.”
Hmmm…a house and a dog? Doesn’t the suburban family rule of succession stipulate that once you have a house and a dog, kids must follow? According to Westfeldt, they’d be fine with that. In fact, she says that having kids is “definitely something they are talking about.”
Oh yay! A mini-Jon Hamm running around would be great. (And then he could join me in having a chuckle at his Sesame Street depiction). But let’s just hope Jon Hamm is a better dad than Don Draper, although let’s be honest–how could he possibly be much worse?
