Miley Cyrus’ New Neighbors: Her Parents!

100322M5 CYRUS B GR 01 202x300 Miley Cyrus New Neighbors: Her Parents!Miley Cyrus has become a homeowner, buying a 3.4 million dollar house in Touluca Lake, just outside of Burbank. (That’s what your first house cost, right? Yeah, mine too.) But while she is finally out from under her parents roof, she didn’t go far. The house is just a few doors down from her parents, Billy Ray and Leticia, a whopping 100 feet.

As fr the house itself, think an episode of Entourage: its over 4,000 square feet, and boasts tennis courts, a pool, and a separate guest house with a recording studio and a wet bar.

I don’t want to be a wet blanket but I can’t help but thinking, is this all too much for a 17-year-old? I know that she is around the age that most kids head off to college and start asserting some independence. Maybe this is just that–on a much bigger scale, since she’s crazy famous and totally loaded. But on the other hand, Hollywood is loaded with tales of young people–some not even as young as she is–getting the big house and the pool and the wet bar, and winding up in a whole mess of trouble. I mean, isn’t it a fundamental rule of human nature? Give a teenager a big empty house and he or she will party in it?

What do you think? Is this all too much for a teenager? Or does the presence of her parents on the same street make this an act of very good parenting?
