Behind The Scenes Of The Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Household
Stars! They’re not like us! Especially when it’s Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. They’re wealthy, beautiful, famous, constantly hounded by photogs, etc, etc, etc. Yet despite all those differences and the effect they have on parenting, they are still not your average mom and dad to children Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and 20-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Let’s take a closer look:
-While tabloids have focused in on Shiloh’s preference for boy clothes, it should also be noted that for the past eight months the little girl has only answered to the name John. ‘We’ve got to call her John,’ Brad has said in interviews. If he’s says “‘Shi, do you want…’ she would interrupt with: ‘John. I’m John.’ I’ll say, ‘John, would you like some orange juice?’ And she goes, ‘No!’”
-For Maddox’s 8th birthday he was taken to visit a refugee camp in Iraq. Just going to make the assumption that this was probably not as fun as getting a clown or some ponies.
-When Maddox was just 5, Angelina gave him permission to get a tattoo of the Buddhist symbol for ‘protection.’ Angelina’s covered in body art, which is probably why she agreed, but Brad stepped in and stopped it, considering Maddox a bit too young. At least he didn’t want a skull tattoo on his face.
-Maddox is really into guns so Brad made a drawing he did into a pendant for a necklace. Angie thought it was ”really cute,” and seems to encourage his interest in weapons. She’s already bought him knives telling W magazine: “My mom took me to buy my first dagger when I was 11 or 12, and I’ve already bought Maddox some.” Let’s hope she’s teaching him safety as well.
-They reportedly don’t have rules around the house, except not to socialize outside the family. One former nanny says she quit because the kids would insist on eating pizza or chocolate. Awesome- if you’re under three feet tall.
Sounds like a pretty wild existence! Angelina has said that she wants 13 children and there is currently speculation that she is pregnant. While that has not been confirmed, she has admitted they are in the advanced stages of planning another adoption.
