Divorce For Elin Nordegren and Tiger Woods?
Tiger’s made his public apologies and gone to sex rehab in an attempt to right his long, ever-growing list of wrongs. But c’mon! He cheated with more women than I can count on both hands, a roster which included porn stars and a neighborhood girl. How could Elin forgive that kind of betrayal? How could anyone? It seems like a lost cause.
Alas, the couple has two kids, Charlie, 13 months, and Sam, 2, and has been trying to work things out. Elin was living in a separate residence, but she hadn’t made a final decision as to whether to give him the permanent boot.
But as Tiger makes his professional return to golf at the Masters this week, Elin is making some decisions and moves of her own.
According to reports, she is filing for divorce. Elin feels Tiger has not put his family first, something that he promised to do at the beginning of the scandal.
“It’s over,” a source tells OK!. “Her lawyers say Elin should avoid the Masters Tournament [she listened] while they draft a divorce deal and decide when to serve him.”
It will not be during the Masters to avoid it looking like revenge and to no doubt, avoid the press chaos it would cause around her and her children. Elin just wants to be sure all the details are in order, so that when she files the process will be “fast and graceful.”
There is no news from Elin as to whether or not she will allow Tiger to stay in her children’s lives.
Do you think she should divorce him? Which do you think will be more harmful to the kids: Staying together or splitting? I believe divorce is always harmful, but being in a home where mom and dad are unhappy, don’t trust each other, and are constantly at odds isn’t healthy either.
