Brooke Shields and Kids Support “Planet Awesome Kid”
Actress Brooke Shields and her daughters attended an event for Planet Awesome Kid — with a theme of “think globally, celebrate locally” — which regaled guests with a day of arts and crafts, yoga, dancing and other activities to benefit Global Action for Children.
Shields was on hand with Rowan, 6-1/2 and Grier, almost 4, and “had so much fun.”
Says Shields: “The most important part of the event was how interested the girls were in learning about the good work that was being done, and the attention being shed on all the awesome kids.”
The dual mission of Planet Awesome Kids is to document global kid street style while helping those in need, and the organization hosts kid-centric fundraisers designed to encourage self-expression through art and fashion and other kid-focused endeavors. Learn more about it here.
