Celeb Baby Names: “Bottega Veneta” Still up for Grabs

Celeb Baby Names: “Bottega Veneta” Still up for GrabsWhen Donald Trump and Marla Maples named their baby Tiffany in 1993, IN HONOR OF THE JEWELRY STORE, no one thought they were setting off a trend. Yet lo and behold, 13 years later, Kelly Rutherford named her son Hermes. Hermes, after the international luxury brand? Yes. In fact, Rutherford frequently carries Hermes bags — keep an eye out on Gossip Girl and you’ll see a Birkin slung over her wrist. To Rutherford’s credit, Hermes is a baby name of sorts. It means “messenger” in Greek. Which is apt, since “by messenger” is how I like to get the goodies I buy at my local Hermes store delivered.

Hermes (the boy, not the bag) entered the world in 2006. Which means it’s high time for the next celebrity baby-as-advertisement to be branded.  Who do you think might take the plunge? Tiffani Thiessen? Amy Adams? Bethenny Frankel (she’s where I’d place my bet)?

Celeb baby names that are still up for grabs after the jump!

Baby names still up for grabs: Gucci, Rolex, Patek Philippe, Manolo, Fendi, Balenciaga, Cartier. Grab one now! Got twins? How about Van Cleef & Arpels?

Note to Claudia Schiffer: Have you considered “Burberry” for the bun in your oven?  That’s got a nice ring to it. Though if you’re going for rings, baby Bulgari might be more appropriate.
