My son hated both the sling and the baby carrier. I had to use my arms the whole time, and of course the stroller, which he loved.

baby carriers are a great way to stay close with your little one and at the same time get a lot done. There has been some bad press recently, but for the most part slings, carriers and wraps are safe. If you are looking for other baby carrier options, check out http://www.organicbabycarriers.net . They have a number of different organic baby carrier products on there.

Baby carriers are legit! The recent warning by the USCPSC and recall has been a bit misleading since the news are the result of ONE bad design by INFANTINO! The media is making it sound as though all “slings” are excessively dangerouse which is NOT the case. The product that has been recalled is a “bag sling” which is different from the more popular “pouch style” slings. The position of the child in a pouch style sling is more vertical, there is less fabric surrounding the child and the overall design is better. Certain pouch style slings even go a step further by using more breathable fabrics which increases air flow. Checkout Swaddlesport.com which has a sling made of a breathable fabric that wicks away moisture and keeps baby sweat free.

Gisele’s ergo isn’t done up! very unsafe :) – but i do love ergos – my babies live in there for the first two years or so… the new native and other non adjustable slings all look to be too big for the people holding them – baby is very low, which is hard on your shoulders/back -
