Burke took her children with Charvet — daughter Heaven Rain, age 3, (yes, I said Heaven Rain) and son Shaya Braven, 2 — on the adventure too!

“Everybody told me I was nuts! People would rather die than take two toddlers on a flight overseas, but I think it comes down to what you do for love.”

“We spent five weeks apart — he really needed to see the family and we really needed to see him…Honestly, I would have gone further. It was incredibly romantic as much as it was adventurous, but it was really important.”

And don’t tell her there is an “appropriate age” for something.

“I always wanted to go on a safari. I thought I would wait ’til my children were a ‘appropriate age. [But] there is no ‘appropriate age’ in my opinion. They had an amazing time — I don’t know how I’ll ever take them to the zoo again!”

Burke also has two daughters with ex-husband, plastic surgeon Garth Fisher: Neriah Shae and Sierra Sky.  Presumably they stayed behind to spend some time with dad.

What do you think? Romantic or crazy?  What’s the farthest you’ve traveled with toddlers?

I think it’s time to stop calling the man your “fiance’” after two babies and no marriage ceremony ever taking place. They are just shacking up but nobody wants to call it that.

She needs to come back down to earth, stop naming her children flaky hippie names, think about their futures, and get real.
