Katherine Heigl Wants More Family Time
Katherine Heigl is officially mum on whether she is out of “Grey’s Anatomy” for good, but she did share that she wants more time to be a mom to daughter Naleigh.
“I think I’m just gonna try and keep it a little more mellow and be a little bit more of a mom, since that’s a big part of my life now.”
Seems Heigl’s maternity leave left her wanting more time at home, not more time at work.
“I took those 3 months off and I realized how very, very important my family is to me and I want to be more available to them.”
So perhaps we shouldn’t expect to see her in a string of movies anytime soon, which is why many television actresses quit high-profile, lucrative tv shows — to pursue film. Apparently she doesn’t share Julianna Margulies’ philosophy that at some point the opportunities could dry up, so take advantage of them now.
I personally loved Heigl in “Knocked Up,” so when she’s ready to work (and I assume she’ll concentrate on movies) I’ll be ready to watch.
