Court Rules Against Anna Nicole Smith Heirs
When Anna Nicole Smith passed away, she was still fighting for a $300 million share of her late husband J. Howard Marshall’s estate. After a 15-year battle with various conflicting rulings, the fight is at its next stop — and it doesn’t bode well for Smith’s only living child, Dannielynn Birkhead.
Marshall died in 1995, leaving behind a $1.6 billion estate. But heirs of Marshall vowed to never let Smith have the hundreds of millions of dollars she claimed her late husband — who was 90 at his death — promised her. Smith married Marshall the year before he died.
Today an appeals court upheld a previous Texas court ruling that cut Smith out. Which means daughter Dannielynn would get none of that fortune. We’ll have to see where this goes next, if anywhere.
