Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes Announce Split!
After seven years of marriage, Kate Winslet and director Sam Mendes are calling it quits. The two, who wed in a ‘low-key’ ceremony in the Caribbean back in 2003 will be divorcing. Their lawyer issued a statement saying that said:
“Kate and Sam are saddened to announce that they separated earlier this year. The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement. Both parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children.”
The couple has one child together, six-year old son Joe. Kate has a nine-year-old daughter Mia from her first marriage to the director Jim Threapleton.
Here’s hoping the kids are okay!
