vital voices 2010 global leadership awards 203x300 Reese Honors Courage and Style In DCReese Witherspoon was in Washington DC on Wednesday to honor women from around the world who have shown courage and leadership in advocating for human rights.

I hope she was able to take her daughter with her to this event. What an opportunity for Ava to meet so many women who’ve had such a positive effect on so many people.

I have a question though.

I don’t know if she was trying to make the atmosphere light, but she brought up the “stylish” card.  We all know that she and all the women in attendance had a stylist to help them look fabulous, so of course they looked great.

She was honoring strong, courageous women  so why did she do that? Is it that important?
