infphoto 1183672 231x300 Elin Nordegren and Daughter Get Nails DoneTiger Woods’ wife Elin Nordegren took daughter Sam, who will be three in June, for a manicure and pedicure at Magic Nails near their home in Windmere, Florida yesterday.  Throughout this whole ordeal, Nordegren has seemed like a wonderful, caring, hands-on mother whose only concern is the well-being of her children. So I feel kind of bad asking:  Are manicures and pedicures really necessary for a pre-schooler?

Of course I’m not suggesting it’s harmful, but I personally feel spa treatments are for grownups — or at least teenagers.  Maybe a tween for a special occasion. My twin girls are nearly 2-1/2 and I can’t imagine taking them to get their nails done.  Just my opinion.  What do you think?

I don’t think there is anything wrong with mani/pedi for kids! My daughters and I do them at home all the time, and when we have our one-on-one days, we go do them…it’s just something fun to do together!

I have been putting colorful nail polish on my 3 yr old daughters fingers and toes since she is 2..not because I think she needs it but because what 3 yr old can resist having cherry pink nails. It’s harmless and cute. Sometimes we do each nail a different color…I don’t think this topic is worth any attention.
