Salma Hayek Celebrates Dora The Explorer’s 10th B-Day!
Someone just turned ten. Someone very near and dear to many a child. Someone named Dora. Yes, Dora the Explorer. And who came out to pay tribute to this super star? None other than… mom Salma Hayek.
This week the actress, looking lovely in a dark navy dress, took to the stage at the Nickelodeon Animation Studio to honor this fellow Latina luminary. Hayek made a speech, posed for photographs and read from a great big Dora book. For Dora’s 10th anniversary, Nickelodeon launched the “Beyond the Backpack” campaign which promotes school readiness and early literacy for the preschool set. Salma will also be designing a Dora inspired backpack that will be up for auction this summer with proceeds going to the Children’s Defense Fund.
I wonder if baby Valentina is a Dora fan?
