Katie Couric On Botox, Single Motherhood and Being Labeled a Cougar
Katie Couric, mother of two teenage daughters, talked to Harper’s Bazaar for its March issue and admits being a single mom is hard, it can be lonely at times and that she misses having a partner in parenting. (Her husband, Jay Monahan, died of colon cancer at age 42.) Also, please don’t call her a “cougar” for dating Brooks Perlin (left), 17 years her junior.

“I just find it stupid, you know?” the CBS Evening Newsanchor, 53, says when asked about the label. “I think it also surmises that the older woman is always the pursuer. That’s not necessarily true. I always say that maybe the older woman is the prey and someone else is the predator. It’s just silly.”
And she indicates that while she is thus far plastic surgery-free, there’s nothing wrong with a little Botox.
