Tyrese Gibson Has Advice for Divorced Parents
Life imitates art with Tyrese Gibson’s latest film Legion about a divorced father. Gibson, who has 2-1/2 year old Shayla Somer Gibson with ex-wife Norma, says the film hit close to home. He offers some advice on being a good parent while going through a divorce.

He says to keep divorce drama away from the children, and that men need to take responsibility for their children, whether or not they are still involved with their mother.
“At the end of the day, this is what I would say to all fathers: Don’t allow the conflicts between [you and] the mother of your child … to get in the way of your responsibility as a father.” Read more here.
