Dave Grohl – Fatherhood Rocks
Were all changed by parenthood in different ways. Some get more active, some get lazy, it’s just a fact of life. Parenthood = Change.
Dave Grohl, Fighter of Foo*, says it’s changed everything.
He said, “I used to tour nine months out of the year. Now I don’t like being away from my kids for more than 12 days. It’s changed everything that I do.”
“When you have kids, you see life through different eyes. You feel love more deeply and are maybe a little more compassionate. It’s inevitable that that would make its way into your songwriting.”
I know it’s such a cliche’ thing to say, but everyone says it because it is so true. It’s like my friends who say they want to be financial stable before they have kids, because they want to be able to keep up the same lifestyle. Then my husband and I smile and say, “you won’t have the same lifestyle when you have kids, it’s impossible.” And they look at us like we’re crazy. Ah, yes, so funny.
*Yes, I know it’s Foo Fighters. I have every CD thanks.

Not saying it doesn’t, but I wonder how anyone can look at their kid and want to physically or sexually harm it or kick em out of the house for being gay. Some people.
And it would be really nice if people stopped polluting the planet with more kids and started adopting the ones languishing in orphanages.
keine commented on Jan 20 11 at 6:51 ampolluting? that is a real hard word for ‘getting a child’ – every woman and man has the intrinsic feeling of wanting to have an own child, making it, bearing it and seeing features of himself in it. We should be happy to have the freedom and not like in china to be restricted. And for the ophanages – everybody should work on himself to aid the society and make living for them easy and fruitful instead of I don’t know hording the money and spending it on a trip to the bahamas. Or spending precious time like waste.
