Somebody Cares: Balloon Boy Dad Richard Heene Visited By Wife
A dutiful wife visits her troubled husband in the facility where he’s temporarily housed and it makes the news. No, I’m not talking about Tiger Wood’s visit by wife Elin Nordegren. Balloon hoaxer Richard Heene was visited by his wife Mayumi for the first time in jail over the weekend.
Heene is serving a 30-day sentence at Larimer County Detention Center in Fort Collins, Colorado for making up a story about his son Falcon being trapped in a weather balloon that had escaped from the family’s yard. According to a prison spokesperson Heene seems to be behaving himself. “I wouldn’t say he is pleased to be here but his general demeanor is good and he is getting along with the prison officers,” Lt Pat McCosh said.
It’s also been learned that Heene could be released six days early from his 30 day jail sentence if his good behavior continues. I wonder if Tiger will be so lucky.
