BREAKING: Anna Kournikova’s Brother Falls From Window; Mother Charged (PHOTOS)
The 5-year-old brother of former tennis champ Anna Kournikova fell or jumped from a second-story window earlier today and his mother has been charged with child neglect.
Allan Kournikova, the half-brother of Anna, was home alone when the incident happened. Neighbors found him crying, screaming and bleeding and called 911; he remains hospitalized.
According to Allan’s mother, Alla, she left the youngster home alone, with all the doors “locked with a deadbolt.” Alla reportedly told police she left to run errands for around 50 minutes and Allan — who was watching TV when she left — did not want to go with her.
I’m sure the mom is traumatized, but what was she thinking leaving a 5-year-old home alone? Fortunately it sounds like Allan wasn’t seriously hurt and we hope he makes a full recovery.
