Fathers in movies – that’s a big subject and one that is tackled admirably by William J. McGee and Andrew Postman in a Babble List.
They list a bunch of them, but I’d like to point out that the number one dad is also the number one screen hero – according to the American Film Institute, which makes me feel pretty good about naming my oldest son after him (although I was technically inspired by the book).
