Catherine Zeta-Jones On The Age Gap Between Her And Michael Douglas
Celebrity parents who have a huge age gap between them have never been uncommon. Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, 40, has been married to Michael Douglas, 65, for 9 years now.
In fact, young men never had a chance with her.
She explained to German In Touch: “I know that young men are more unbiased, playful and firmer. There’s no question about that. But they are also more selfish and narcissistic. This is why they never had a chance to go out with me.
“I need a man who is sensitive and caring. Someone who is superior to me and I can lean on. But that doesn’t mean not that I fancy old and fat men.”
Catherine goes on to praise Michael on what a mushy guy he is.
She said: “He knows exactly what he wants and what life is about. That impresses me. But Michael can also be a real softy. He sends me flowers and cries when his kids say something particularly pathetic.
“We didn’t care about the age gap from the beginning on. We relied more on our emotions and feelings. It was like that and it should always be like that.”
Sigh…that’s all nice Catherine but I also think the actor has helped you in having a movie career! She and Douglas have two children together, Dylan, 9, and Carys, 6. When the youngest goes to college, he’ll be 77.
