Maggie Rodriguez Is Adding To Her Portfolio
Maggie Rodriguez, of “The Early Show” fame, announced she is pregnant with her second child.
Congratulations to you and yours Maggie.
She is already mother to a four-year-old little girl, Daniella and I’m sure she’s forgotten everything she knew about infants. I know I did between my first and second.
Maggie surprised her co-host Harry Smith, Dave Price and Russ Mitchell by saying: ” You guys are going to be uncles.”
I’m sure congratulations and hilarity ensued, and then it was back to the news and business as usual.
What was the one thing you wish you would have remembered about infants?

I hope CBS has to hire them back if they will come back.

They brought their lives into our homes and now you fire them? No way …what are you thinking? I might have to watch another network…..it just won’t be the same.

WHAT AND WHO MAKE THESE DUMB DECISIONS? I CANNOT UNDERSTAND CBS PROGRAMMING TAKING AWAY LONG TIME FAVORITES AND REPLACING WITH THESE DUMB MINDLESS GAME SHOWS!!
I THINK FIRING OF THE PROGRAMMER WOULD BE MORE IN KEEPING WITH THE VIEWERS INTEREST. THIS IS A TOTAL TURN OFF AND DISAPPOINTMENT TO ME. DAVE PRICE IS THE SWEETEST, CUTEST AND MOST INTERESTING WEATHER PERSON I HAVE EVER WATCHED AND I HAVE SEEN A LOT OF THEM IN MY LIFE.
I HAVE LIVED THE WORLD OVER AND HAVE HAD TONS OF EXPOSURE TO MEDIA TALENT AND THE TEAM YOU JUST FIRED HAS GOT TO BE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE MADE YET.

Diane commented on Jan 04 11 at 8:25 amI agree with Jeannine. I’ve followed Harry Smith every since he anchored with Paula Zahn. I always feel at home listening to Harry. He’s insightful and warm. I will also miss Maggie. I loved that she’s a new Mom. I also loved that she appeared to love her job. She knew her co-workers well…we learned a lot about them through Maggie. It’s a good feeling to appreciate the mutual respect between Harry and Maggie.

His jokes are clean and just right. I was waiting for Maggie to come back from her maternity leave and now I don’t want to watch the Early Show any more. The three of them put out friendly and kind of family feelings. I like to see the energy of friendship between them. Is somebody with power and connection jealous and want to see them go? I wish them the best in whatever they will do next. They are the finest. They should do well wherever they go. God bless you Maggie, Dave and Harry. You’re like dear friends to a viewer like me.

I for one will not watch it anymore either. You obviously dont know a great set of people or you wouldnt have let them go. Good luck harry, maggie and Dave I will miss watching you.

Barbara gloria commented on Jan 05 11 at 11:55 pmI am glad to see that Harry will be used on other programs because he is a class act,and always a gentleman.I thought that Maggie had just come back from maternity only to read that she is pregnant..I could be wrong I have missed seeing her for some time ..Poor Dave he has gone all over for that television station under all kinds of weather and all sorts of conditions… ,and being a newly wed and all… all of these people have gone above and beyond ..and someone at CBS should be ashamed………………CBS this is not the first real GOOF that you have made. I wish all of the group the very best. The new bunch is trying to be bright and perky but you know what …at 66 It was nice to wake up to the real down to earth people and not to a bunch of hyennas trying to be just another bunch of yuppies who have missed the experience of life boat and may nver have the polish the …Harry, Dave and Maggie group have. .

The new replacements are not what I would expect from CBS and hope all will voice there opinions as well. They appear to be not with it, if you know what I mean. Shame on CBS you have lost my early morning support. I will always watch Katie in the evening but that is it.

I’ve tried to watch the new team but find Chris silly and lacking experience and maturity. I’m warming to Erika since she replaced Maggie during her maternity leave. But, Marysol! What an amature! She is totally lacking in style and personality. Shame on you CBS!!! I’ll watch something else. Good bye and good luck to Harry, Maggie, and Dave. You are missed.

Don’t know how much I’ll watch any morning show although the few times I’ve seen NBC, I’ve liked it. So, we may be moving on as well.

Tried watching the new Early Show but it’s definitely not the same. Is it me or are they a little on the annoying side. It’s almost like they are trying to hard to be like the old crew that they cross annoying. Maggie was the best…such class and finesse. Harry as well as Dave, handsome and distinguished, classy gentlemen. What a classy and professional trio. The new three can not replace that, as I said and I repeat they are a bit on the annoying obnoxious side. OK Marysol we get it, you’re Hispanic and your name is pronounced (Mar-ee-sol…sea and sun). I don’t know this could be a big mistake on CBS’s part. Harry, Dave and Maggie….I personally wish you the best and hope this opens up a world of opportunities for you!

Now that I had time to check I am disgusted. Harry, Maggie, and Dave were awesome. They made my mornings. There is no way they can be replaced. I wish them all the best. Maggie was just joyous during her pregnancy & when she came back after having her 2nd baby. Does she want to spend more time with her family? Other wise I can’t believe she was fired. Dave Price surely did give all on the program . He not only reported the weather in a humorous manner,but traveled to all kinds of places to show us, even putting himself in jeopardy.He also traveled from Alaska clear across the country starting out with just a few dollars & the clothes on his back.
Harry Smith is also THE BEST in reporting & very knowlegable about many things.I don’t know why you fire your BEST PEOPLE !
