AT&T Drops Calls and Now Tiger Woods, Too
Tiger Woods and I finally have something in common – neither of us is getting coverage from AT&T!
AT&T announced Thursday that it is withdrawing its lucrative “multi-year” endorsement deal with Woods.
AT&T was a very visible sponsor of the scandal-ridden golfer — their logo had appeared on Woods’s golf bag, and the company has been the title sponsor of an annual PGA tournament that Woods hosts. The company joins Accenture and Gillette to become the third sponsor to sever all ties with Tiger Woods.
This can’t be a good New Year’s eve for Tiger. Although I’m sure he isn’t worried about his kids’ college funds disappearing anytime soon – he still counts Nike, Gatorade and EA Sports among his sponsors.
