Brittany Murphy’s Mom Gets Estate
Brittany Murphy’s estate is reportedly going to her mom, Sharon Murphy. The late actress had the will drawn up before she met husband Simon Monjack. It’s not clear if the will was revised after they met.
According to TMZ.com, Murphy’s house was held in trust, and Monjack is not listed on the title.
Murphy was found by her mother on Sunday in the bathroom of their home. She died of cardic arrest.
Originally, Monjack did not want an autopsy performed on Murphy. He explained to People, “My initial reaction to the autopsy was – they’re going to cut her open – I couldn’t bear it,” Monjack said, weeping. “That would break her mother, but we realized we needed to know. I look forward to getting the results.”
