What Did Jamie Jungers Get Out Tiger? A “Broken Heart”
Jamie Jungers wasn’t planning on ever coming public with her affair with the newly married Tiger Woods. But due to all the recent mud that has been slung at her character, she felt she had to come out and defend her own honor on the Today Show.
Jamie – then a cocktail waitress – met Tiger is his home away from home Las Vegas. She said that is wasn’t just a tawdry affair but she said that it became a “boyfriend-girlfriend relationship.” And no, she ain’t no hooker. She says she didn’t get money from Woods, just “a broken heart.”
She told Meredith Viera that “I didn’t even get a birthday card, I got nothing out of this relationship but a broken heart.”
Initially she thought their initial tryst was just a one-night stand. She was surprised with Tiger called her the next day saying ““He said he loved spending time with me, would love to get to know me more, and he gave me his phone number and told me to save it in a different name in case I lost the phone.” They would get together when Tiger would come to Vegas and he also flew her to Los Angeles.
Did she feel guilty for fooling around with a married man? She told Viera, “It was a thought in my mind, of course. I mean, I’m not raised to do something like I did, and I’m not saying it’s OK … [but] I had a crush on Tiger for many years. I was very excited and honored that he was interested in me.”
Viera asked her if she owed Tiger’s wife an apology, Jamie replied, “Yes, and no; I mean, I wouldn’t want somebody to do it to me, but I’m not going to take full blame for this,” she said. “I never wanted this to come out, and I never would have said anything or I could have done it years ago.” She had no idea that Tiger had even more women on the side saying that ““he obviously has issues.” You can say that again.
