The Obama’s Light The White House Tree (PHOTOS)
Now that my friends is a tree. The Obama’s just lit their Christmas tree on Thursday night but this ain’t just some run of the mill tree, this is the one and only National Christmas Tree.
This Colorado blue spruce is a wee bit too big to fit into the living room, it is located on the Ellipse, which is just south of the White House.
The Obama family gathered to press the massive novelty sized button which turns on the gazillion twinkling lights draped around the tree – LED energy efficient lights I should add.
Along with the lighting, Michelle Obama entertained the crowd with a rendition of Twas the Night Before Christmas. Now let’s just hope that the Obamas won’t be keeping their presents under this particular tree.
