How Twilight’s “Sexiest Dad” Prepares For Christmas
Peter Facinelli, Twilight hunk and People magazine’s “Sexiest Dad”, survives the Christmas holidays with his wife Jennie Garth by splurging on two trees… and being outright adorable with his children.
“My wife wants to do the fake tree because it’s easy but I am so anti fake trees,” the New Moon actor says, so the Hollywood couple gets one of each. “In one room we do a nice fake tree, and in the other room I get to have my tree with all the pine needles falling all over the place.”
What’s the big deal with a real tree? Peter says it has nothing to do with that evergreen smell, and everything to do with the couple’s three daughters.
“What’s fun is that I get to go and pick out the tree with the kids, and then it becomes an experience,” he explains. “Sometimes I’ll hide behind the tree. I used to pretend I was the talking tree. The kids loved it. I would be like, ‘Hey, pick me – I am the best Christmas tree!’”
Ladies, can I get a collective “awwwww” for that talking tree?
Facinelli might be in charge of the real tree, but he credits his wife with getting the rest of the holiday essentials together.
“I have no time to go Christmas shopping this year,” he said. “She called me today and said, ‘So, I got the Christmas shopping done for so and so and so and so.’ I’m like, ‘You’re a godsend.’ ”
So, he makes trees talk for his girls and he understands what a big job it is to be in charge of the holiday shopping?
Forget Edward and Jacob. I think I’m now officially Team Carlisle.
