NHL Star Martin Brodeur Welcomes His New Son
Martin Brodeur, goalie for the New Jersey Devils, has welcomed his fifth child to the family.
Martin’s wife Genevieve gave birth to a healthy baby boy on November 23rd, the first child for the couple together. The couple named their eight pound plus son Maxime Philippe, an effort to make sure his name would always be pronounced properly.
“Anything they could say in French and English pretty easy,” Martin said about choosing a baby name. “I figured [Maxime's] pretty easy, and all my other kids are the same way.”
Brodeur has four children, Anthony, William, Jeremy and Anabelle, with his ex-wife Melanie Dubois. All five of his children’s first initials now grace his hockey helmet, thanks to the Devil’s fast acting assistant equipment manager Alex Abasto.
Congratulations to the big(ger) happy family!
