Toni Braxton and Husband Split

Toni Braxton and son Diezel, 6, walked the red carpet at Sunday’s American Music Awards. Toni looks great, and you’d never know that just days before she announced that she and husband Keri Lewis were calling it quits after eight years of marriage.

The singer was interviewed by talk show host Wendy Williams last week and spoke about the separation, saying she and Lewis remain friends and devoted parents to Diezel and their other son Denim, 8.

Braxton has suffered from health problems over the past few years but she told Williams that she’s on the mend. “I’m doing good. Much better,” she said. “I went from 11 different medications to three, my heart is pumping well. I’m doing good. I don’t need a heart transplant. I’m great.”
