Sasha and Malia Spare The Life of Thanksgiving TurkeyThanks to Sasha and Malia Obama a turkey named Courage will have a happy Thanksgiving after all. At the White House on Wednesday, President Obama said that he would grant a pardon to the turkey that would otherwise have landed on his dinner plate.

“I was planning to eat this sucker,” the President joked.

“Thanks to the interventions of Malia and Sasha,” Obama said, “Courage will be spared this terrible – and delicious – fate.”

And where does a turkey go after he’s just escaped death? To Disneyland! Courage the turkey, delivered to the White House by the National Turkey Federation, will be going to the Anaheim park where he’ll be grand marshal of tomorrow’s Thanksgiving parade! (Note to Courage – stay away from the turkey-leg kiosk in Adventureland!)
