Going Rogue with Sarah Palin – Is Trig Too Young To Do Book Tours?
Sarah Palin brought along a very special accessory to her first stop of her uber swamped book tour.
To promote her tome Going Rogue, the former vice presidential candidate/former governor/mom of five and current media starlet greeted the crowds with her son Trig in her arms.
Nineteen-month-old Trig was born with Down’s syndome, a subject that Palin tackles in her book. She wrote about when they found out about their son’s condition:
‘Todd said “It’s going to be okay.”
“I asked if he had the same question I had: “Why us?”
“He looked genuinely surprised by my question and responded calmly, “Why not us?”’
She recently told Oprah that when she discovered she was knocked up with Trig that she could understand: “Why a woman would feel that it’s easier to just do away with some less than ideal circumstances…It also, though, really solidified my position that, yep, there are less than ideal circumstances in so many of our lives. It’s how we will react to those circumstances, how we will plough through them and make the most of what we’ve been given.”
But do you think subjecting young Trig to the cameras and chaos of this media frenzy is the best thing to do?

Lauren commented on Nov 20 09 at 9:02 pmWhile I don’t like her and disagree with her on everything, he’s far to young to leave at home w/out his mom for that long. I would bring my daughter if I was on a book tour.
Angela commented on Nov 21 09 at 9:37 amI’m not a huge Palin fan and wouldn’t be surprised if this is just an attempt at using her disabled son to market herself but I also know that a lot of 19 month olds are happy being with Mom. Even if it is chaotic with lots of people and cameras. He doesn’t seem upset in the pictures so maybe it wasn’t all that bad.
