Aye Carumba! Coldplay’s Chris Martin To Star on the Simpsons

Chris Martin is getting animated - the Coldplay frontman is set to make an appearance on The Simpsons. Actually, this will be Martin’s second appearance - he appeared with his band on the series earlier this year. But sorry all you Chris Martin fans - he won’t be taking it all off like Marge Simpson did for Playboy.

Martin will be appearing as a new character — Ladies’ Man Ricardo Bomba who was created by fan Peggy Black. Black won a competition that is part of the series’ 20th anniversary celebration - her entry was selected by a panel of judges including the show’s executive producer Al Jean. “He’s someone that all the women love and all the men want to be,” Peggy said of Ricardo.

I’ll bet Martin’s and wife Gwyneth Paltrow’s kids are excited about this latest turn of events. How cool would it be to see your dad on The Simpsons! D’oh!
