Michael Jordan’s Son’s Shoe Choice Costs School $3 Million
Michael Jordan’s son Marcus has some really, really, really expensive taste in shoes. His decision to wear his dad’s Air Jordan’s have cost his school -the University of Central Florida -$3 million dollars. Ouch.
Marcus Jordan is a freshman guard for the UCF team and opted to wear a pair of white Air Jordans when the team has a contact with adidas to have all players only wear their shoes. But Jordan will only play in Nike Air Jordan’s because they are special to him and his family.
“The University of Central Florida has chosen not to deliver on their contractual commitment to adidas,” adidas spokeswoman Andrea Corso told The Associated Press. “As a result we have chosen not to continue our relationship with them moving forward.”
The school’s spokesman responded saying, “We are disappointed to learn that adidas has chosen to discontinue its relationship with UCF Athletics. Once we receive official notice we will be able to further respond.”
