Halloween At The White House, Obama Style (Photos)
It’s not every year that you get to trick or treat at the White House, but this year the President and First Lady handed out goodies to about 2,000 ghouls and goblins from nearby Maryland and Virginia. Michelle Obama even dressed up as some kind of cheetah/leopard cat woman.
So, what’s it like trick or treating at the 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.? I imagine there was a lot more treating than tricking… anybody caught TP-ing a tree on the White House lawn is definitely going to get detained by Secret Service agents, right?
Apparently the Obamas decked out the place with a bunch of orange lights and hung a huge spider from the North Portico. Spooky. Treats on the menu included M&M’s, dried fruit mixes, National Park activity books, and cookies baked by White House pastry chef, Bill Yosses.
Michelle did the cat lady costume while Barack just went with a casual crew neck sweater. What did Sasha and Malia dress up as for Halloween? That’s classified.
No, really. The White House refused to disclose any information about how the First Daughters were celebrating. I’m guessing they went out on the town with their own Secret Service detail.
