The Star Studded 40th Season of Sesame Street

The next season of Sesame Street will be star-studded! Big Bird, Elmo and the gang have rubbed shoulders with the rich and famous for years. They could soooo do some name droppin’, and big names they are.

For the 40th year of Sesame Street the PBS show will have visits from: Jake Gyllenhaal, sis Maggie Gyllenhaal, Cameron Diaz, Adam Sandler, Eva Longoria, Ricky Gervais, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate, Hugh Jackman, Matthew Fox and Michelle Obama.  Yeah, those muppets have some powerful and pretty friends.

Jake Gyllenhaal will be part of the Shalom Sesame series, the spin-off that celebrates Jewish culture.

Those are a lot of stars, but do little kids have any idea who any of them are? I think that most would not. It’s just a way to get the parents to tune in too!
