Star Mom: Real Housewives Love Reebok’s EasyTone and Cupcakes
Recently, Reebok invited us to hang out with New York City’s Real Housewives Kelly and Jill for a cupcake crawl through lower Manhattan, stopping at all the famous cupcake spots for a treat before moving on, en masse, in our new EasyTone sneakers. How could we say no? Kelly and Jill were giddy, strutting about in clingy (albeit flattering) workout wear and sporting EasyTones as Reebok’s brand ambassadors.
I hate to be seen in sneakers – I’m a sports-only wearer. But, the EasyTone, the ultimate walking shoe, complicates my policy. This sneak has the plushest, cushiest landing pad – the sole’s actually composed of two little pods (think of the gym’s big exercise balls), meant to create resistance and work your buns. Rather than make it harder to walk, the shoes propel me forward. I groove along, imagining I’m bouncing on the moon. I tried my pair out on the tennis courts – but they didn’t adapt well to the lunging and quick-footedness required. They did make me want to walk and walk… or I should say, bounce. What about the glutes you ask? Whether the EasyTones do the trick remains to be seen, but I will be the first one to the elevator.
