Michael Jackson Wanted To Create Neverland Part II (PHOTOS)
Who wanted to move his family of four into a $38 million dollar, 15 bedroom, 16.5 bathroom house? Michael Jackson.
MJ has his eyes on the Bel Air mansion for seven years and was working on negotiations to purchase the pad right before his untimely passing. TMZ reported that MJ “fell in love with the 18,020 square foot estate” when he first saw it in 2001. He planned to purchase it and it was even in escrow. But the deal fell through because Jackson really didn’t have the funds to finish the deal. With the windfall he was expecting from his “This Is It” tour, he was working on renegotiating with the owners and was hoping to finally move in and to “recreate as much of Neverland as he legally could.”
TMZ had a source that said “”Jackson brought his kids to see the house and they fell in love with it … They begged him to buy it.” The kid’s favorite aspect of the estate was the “Bat Cave”, a secluded area under the house.
