Woody Allen and Mia Farrow’s Son is a “Friggin’ Genius”

410px ronan farrow headshot 205x300 Woody Allen and Mia Farrows Son is a Friggin GeniusMany times the offspring of famous actors or directors go into the family business of movie making. Little old nepotism makes it an easy career choice. But Woody Allen and Mia Farrow’s son Ronan? No glitz or glamour for him. The twenty-one year old has just been appointed as a “liaison to non-governmental organizations working in Pakistan.”

Humanitarian groups were surprised by the appointment,  “You have seasoned, experienced NGO officials dealing with some very sensitive foreign policy and humanitarian aid issues, whose main contact in Holbrooke’s [Special Representative to Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Holbrooke] office is a [21] year old whose experience has been traveling to southern Sudan with his mom.”

But Holbrooke has worked with Ronan since he was a teenager and a state department has stated “”He’s very qualified for the job, and has already helped explain the current situation re: Pakistani procurements to key NGOs, including a meeting he organized today with InterAction and its affiliated NGOs.”

Oh and apparently Ronan is wicked smart. An insidre said that he is, “‘a friggin’ genius and a true activist for Darfur … Went to college at age 11 and then to law school at 16.” He recently graduated from Yale Law School and is a journalist who’s penned pieces for Los Angeles Times, the International Herald Tribune, the Wall Street Journal among others.

Lots of kids skip high school and go to college instead. It is really easy if your parents are rich and well connected too. One of my sisters entered college at 15 while finishing up her high school credits. Many wealthy people have tutors or homeschool heir kdsi just so they can enter college early. If you are reasonably smart and work hard anyone can do it.

Although being Woody’s son, he turned out pretty good looking! Wow!

Sorry but not a lot of kids do what Ronan did, it is NOT possible for everyone who works hard to skip a lot of grades and handle college material at age 11. Even very bright ones. It’s not even ideal. I read Farrow had to find a college that would take kids that young, so he wouldn’t be further socially marginalized as super bright kids tend to be. And he wasn’t home-schooled. Now if you say he’s skipped some steps before being handed a position of that importance, you may be right. I know he’s done extensive journalism for the past 3-4 years, as well as traveled extensively, but hasn’t held formal assistant level positions that would prime a person for these jobs. But I doubt anyone questions the guy has an innately high I.Q. It does happen.
