Details On Joel And Nicole’s Secret Fake Wedding
First, there was the potentially baseless rumor that Sparrow’s parents had secretly tied the knot. Now, we have the possibly fabricated details of Joel Madden and Nicole Richie’s secret wedding that potentially never happened. True or not, the wedding details are definitely worth checking out.
So far, no photographic evidence has emerged to prove that the event occurred, and neither the newlyweds(?) or their reps have confirmed it. Still, Star Magazine is reporting that the couple did obtain a marriage license last week — only a month after the birth of Sparrow, their second child.
“[Joel and Nicole] exchanged vows during an intimate at-home ceremony on Oct. 14 with Joel’s brother and bandmate Benji as a witness. But the couple were hardly alone on their big day. They were actually married — along with 45,000 other people worldwide! — as part of a mass wedding by the Unification Church.”
As the story goes, Joel had wanted to get married since before Harlow was born. After the death of mutual friend DJ AM, Nicole all of the sudden felt the need to make it official. Reports Star’s insider:
“Nicole is a free spirit, and she wanted a wedding ceremony that reflected that” a source says. “She found out about the mass wedding online and thought it would be perfect for the two of them.”
The whole thing seems kinda cheesy to me, but I guess it could be true. I wonder if the families are upset that they didn’t get an invite? Ouch.
