pamelaandersonlittlegirl 1 196x30011 Pamela Anderson Defends Her Right To Exploit ChildrenLast week, there was a minor hubbub over Pamela Anderson’s decision to take a 9-year-old “train-carrier” to the Hollywood Style Awards in order follow behind her and make sure the train her creepy, nearly-crotch revealing dress didn’t drag the ground. Of course, child advocates took the opportunity to pile on and snag some free press. Now, it’s being reported that the girl was in fact not a slave, but actually “great time.”

According to what a guest told Page Six:

“She didn’t even have her own seat and had to sit at Pamela’s feet, where people nearly stepped on her to get to the stage. The girl looked uncomfortable and kept tugging on her dress to get her attention, but Pamela waved her away. Pamela was telling people it was her daughter. And, after she presented David LaChapelle with an award onstage, she shouted ‘daughter’ in front of the whole auditorium, and slapped her leg like she was calling a puppy. The girl rushed up to grab her train.”

While that may all be true, the little girl’s mother (who just so happens to be Pam’s makeup artist) wanted people to know that her daughter wasn’t the victim of Pam’s ruthless exploitation. In fact, Pam’s manager even issued a statement:

“As Pamela was preparing for the red carpet, Adelaide asked if she could carry the train. Everyone thought that would be fun, and Pam agreed. Adelaide held the train with elegance and aplomb.”

While that statement’s totally not convincing — it was made by Pam’s agent after all — I don’t think anybody needed to do any real explaining. Nobody really thinks Pam is an exploiter. Do they?
